Outstanding Activist!

All of us at Farm Sanctuary would like to thank Madeline Davis for her outstanding commitment to farm animals. Madeline is a longtime friend to Farm Sanctuary and a uniquely dedicated activist. Serving on the Gala for Farm Animals planning committee, Madeline’s hard work has made the 2002 and 2004 Gala events a success. These important occasions bring celebrity supporters, key legislators and animal advocates together to raise public awareness and financial support for farm animals, and we truly could not have done it without her. Madeline secured donations for the Gala auction and favor bag by researching prospective contributors and making hundreds of phone calls. She also worked tirelessly all day the day of the event to set up the silent auction and help staff with last minute details. Not only did Madeline single-handedly raise thousands of dollars for farm animals through her efforts, she also generously sponsored both the 2002 and 2004 Gala events.

In addition to her Gala contributions, Madeline is a strong voice for the animals, writing letters and making urgent campaign calls, and participating in the Walk for Farm Animals. Madeline has been visiting our New York Shelter for years, attending the annual Hoe Down and visiting with her adopted animals, Kevin the cow (pictured with Madeline above) and chickens, Cherry and Valentine.

Thank you, Madeline, for devoting your time and talent to create a more humane future for farm animals. You have proven that there are countless ways to be a successful and effective activist, and to make a difference.

Together, we ARE making a difference. If you would like to find out more about volunteering your time to educate others about factory farming and vegetarianism, please contact us at activist@farmsanctuary.org, or call 607-583-2225 ext. 229. Click here to find out what YOU can do to help!
