NYC Foie Gras Campaign - A CALL TO ACTION

Fairway Market in New York City is blatantly promoting foie gras (pronounced 'fwah grah') at their stores! Come and be a part of organized leafleting events this weekend at Fairway in Manhattan. Help educate Fairway and their shoppers about foie gras production being far from fair to ducks and geese. In fact, foie gras is one of the cruelest forms of animal agriculture. No other animal industry intentionally creates a sick animal in order to harvest a diseased organ.

Dates & Times:

Saturday, December 30th from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m.

Sunday, December 31st from 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m.

Location:

Fairway Market at 2127 Broadway, between West 74th St. and West 75th St., Manhattan

Directions:

By Subway: Take the No. 1, 2, or 3 trains to West 72nd St. and Broadway; walk two blocks north on Broadway to the store.

By Bus: Take the cross-town bus on West 72nd St. and stop at Broadway.

Please bring along friends and encourage others to attend.

Please forward this notice and post wherever it may attract additional supporters.

Farm Sanctuary is the nation’s leading farm animal protection organization. Since incorporating in 1986, we have worked to expose and stop cruel practices of the “food animal” industry through research and investigations, legal and legislative actions, public awareness projects, youth education, and direct rescue and refuge efforts. Our shelters in Watkins Glen, NY and Orland, CA provide lifelong care for hundreds of rescued animals, who have become ambassadors for farm animals everywhere by educating visitors about the realities of factory farming.
