Gene Baur, president and co-founder of Farm Sanctuary, has been hailed as “the conscience of the food movement” by Time magazine. Since the mid-1980s, Gene has traveled extensively, campaigning to raise awareness about the abuses of industrialized factory farming and our system of cheap food production. His thought-provoking book, Farm Sanctuary: Changing Hearts and Minds About Animals and Food, a national best seller, examines the ethical questions surrounding the production of beef, poultry, pork, milk, and eggs and exposes the mistreatment of the billions of farm animals who are exploited for food in the United States every year.
Julieanna Hever, M.S., R.D., C.P.T., is a registered dietitian, the host of the wellness talk show series What Would Julieanna Do? on Veria Living Network, author of the best-selling book The Complete Idiot’s Guide to Plant-Based Nutrition and the upcoming The Vegiterranean Diet, and the nutrition columnist for VegNews Magazine. Julieanna co-authored The Complete Idiot’s Guide to Gluten-Free Vegan Cooking and was a recipe contributor to both New York Times best-selling Forks Over Knives books. From her Los Angeles-based practice, she counsels a variety of clients throughout the world, including elite athletes, adults, and children with various nutritional and/or medical concerns. Julieanna has been featured recently on The Dr. Oz Show, The Steve Harvey Show, Reluctantly Healthy, and E! News. She co-stars on The Chef and the Dietitian, contributes to numerous radio shows, and lectures extensively throughout the U.S. and beyond. She is published in prominent journals, magazines, blogs, and newsletters. Julieanna received her bachelor’s degree from UCLA and her master of science degree in nutrition from California State University, Northridge, where she also completed her dietetic internship. She has taught as part of Dr. T. Colin Campbell’s eCornell Plant-Based Nutrition Certification Program, worked as a clinical dietitian at Century City Doctors Hospital, and consults for numerous organizations.

The international bestseller Born To Run featured Scott’s journey into the Copper Canyon of Mexico to run with the Tarahumara tribe. In 2010 Scott set a new U.S. all-surface record in the 24-Hour Run with 165.7 miles — 6.5 marathons in one day — for which he was named a USA Today “Athlete of the Week.” Scott’s memoir Eat and Run became an instant New York Times bestseller and has been translated into 22 languages. Lu Parker is a multi-faceted talent. She is an Emmy award-winning journalist, actress, author, and former Miss USA. You can find her anchoring and reporting the news in Los Angeles on KTLA. Lu’s focus is health and wellness reports, bringing viewers the latest in fitness trends, alternative medicines, and medical studies. Lu has won two Emmys for her work in the television business. She has also been honored with two Genesis Awards from the Humane Society of the United States. She was recognized for her outstanding reporting and creative portrayals of animal protection issues, including investigations into puppy mills, elephant abuse, and beagle lab testing. In her free time, Lu is an advocate for homeless animals. In 2010, she created Lu Parker Project, a non-profit organization dedicated to helping homeless animals and at-risk teenagers. Lu is an avid hiker, golfer, and writer and has been a vegetarian for over 25 years. She participates in dozens of charity events annually, raising money for children, animals, and the needy.
Rich Roll is a world-renowned, plant-based ultra-endurance athlete; an in-demand public speaker; a wellness advocate; a #1 bestselling author; and an inspirational hero to a global audience of wellness seekers, serving as a transformative example of courageous and healthy living.
