Farm Sanctuary’s New York Country Hoe Down, which educates and inspires hundreds of individuals each year, depends on dedicated volunteers. We are so grateful for the amazing support and hard work that volunteers offer at Farm Sanctuary events. We are currently seeking volunteers for the 2014 Hoe Down, and we would love your help!
Volunteers are needed to assist with all aspects of the event: setup, parking, registration, meal service, cleanup, and more.
Volunteers receive free admission to the entire weekend event, which includes lunch on Saturday, Saturday night dinner, and breakfast and lunch on Sunday. Volunteers are welcome to participate in any Hoe Down activities outside of their volunteer shift time.
We ask Hoe Down volunteers to commit to one approximately 6.5-hour shift on Saturday and one approximately 3.5-hour shift on Sunday. All volunteer shifts will begin with a mandatory orientation. A volunteer coordinator will be in touch in advance of the event with specific details about your shift hours.
Event volunteers work hard, but they also have a lot of fun meeting other people and being a part of a Farm Sanctuary event. For more information or to sign up to volunteer at the New York Hoe Down, please contact Meredith McLean.
