Communications Department Intern

Responsibilities & Duties:

• Assist in tracking print, online and broadcast media coverage
• Assist with photo and video archiving projects
• Assist in tracking placements of advertisements
• Filing projects
• Assist with media outreach projects
• Web research projects
• Assist with website content updates and e-alerts
• Proofing/editing projects

Qualifications:

• Good communication skills
• Excellent research and writing skills
• Attention to detail
• Ability to work independently
• Previous communications experience preferred
• Previous computer experience required

Specifications:

• Volunteer commitment of 40 hours per week
• One to three month commitment required
• Shared housing available on the sanctuary premises
