Development Department Intern
Responsibilities & Duties:
- Research,
identify and develop new corporate partnerships
- Obtain
product donations
- Conduct
thank you call projects to supporters
- Write
thank you letters and fundraising appeals
- Celebrity
outreach
- Research,
identify and develop new sources of foundation funding
- Assist
with the planning of our Gala for Farm Animals. Duties
will include, but are not limited to, obtaining silent auction
and favor bag donations, securing individual and corporate sponsors,
and helping with celebrity outreach.
Qualifications:
- Excellent
communication and outreach skills
- Knowledge
of animal protection issues
- Writing
and project management skills
- Strong
internet research skills
- Commitment
to Farm Sanctuary's goals and programs.
- Related
degree or work experience in animal advocacy or nonprofit preferred.
Specifications:
- Volunteer
commitment of 40 hours per week
- One
to three month commitment required
- Shared
housing available on sanctuary premises
