NYC Outreach Intern

Responsibilities & Duties:

  • Assist with restaurant and supermarket outreach, including letter-writing and follow-ups
  • Assist with literature distribution to various establishments throughout the city
  • Help maintain database of members, volunteers, and establishments
  • Maintain activist log
  • Research tabling opportunities and help coordinate the events
  • Provide general support to the NYC Campaign Department
Qualifications
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong knowledge of animal protection issues
  • Commitment to Farm Sanctuary's goals and programs
  • Strong work ethic and ability to self-start
  • Comfortable working with the public
  • Sense of humor and of self
Specifications:
  • Must commit to either 20 or 40 hours per week
  • One to three month commitment required
  • Will work partly from home, partly from our office in Washington Heights, and partly from our office in the Flatiron area
