Photo and Video Coordinator
Responsibilities and Duties:
- Manage photo archives, including digital photos, photo prints, and negatives, as well as related photo management documents.
- Manage video archives, including tapes, discs, and digital files, as well as related video management documents.
- Handle internal photo and video requests from various Farm Sanctuary departments.
- Handle external photo and video requests from activists, organizations, and media.
- Edit photos and videos to desired specifications using appropriate software.
- Maintain photo and video equipment and supplies, and assist staff members with equipment use.
- Act as staff videographer as needed for on-site shelter events; arrange for local videography services for off-site events.
- Act as back-up staff photographer as needed.
- Coordinate with contract video producers and editors for specific projects.
Qualifications:
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
- Proficiency in digital media (photo and video); web experience a plus
- Knowledge of Avid video editing systems and Adobe Photoshop
- Commitment to farm animal protection issues
- Ability to work independently
Job Specifics:
- Full time
- Position reports to communications manager
- Some weekend and holiday work days are required
- Salary commensurate with experience
