Guinda: Placement is sought for a 14-year-old Dexter cow located in northern California. Spirit is healthy, but her caregiver can no longer keep her with the rest of her herd, which includes bulls, because Spirit’s body would not handle another pregnancy well. Spirit will be unhappy by herself, so her caregiver is hoping to find her a place with other cows. Spirit is shy around humans but very gentle. If would like to give Spirit a happy retirement, please contact Kim.

Glenview: Seven rescued Holstein cows, heifers and steers need a new home or homes. Their wonderful Wisconsin caregivers must give up their property, and the anticipated time of departure is between the end of September and the end of October. These are sweet, loving animals who enjoy being around people. They know their names and are interactive with others. Pumpkin the cow will be 13 years old in October. Snowball the cow is 17 years old and is inseparable from her 10-year-old son Norman and 10-year-old adopted daughter Coco. Buddy the steer is going on eight years old. Thunder and Maxwell steers, half-brothers with a strong bond, just turned five. These animals have had to move numerous times in the last eight years, but they are a loving family and have kept each other going through the changes. Any way that all or most of them can be kept together is in their best interests. A foster home is preferred, but adoption will also be considered. If you are able to help, please contact Debby. Thank you. Contact: Debby | Phone: 847-772-6993 | E-mail: WagnerFarmRescue@aol.com

Taunton: Patrick is a 5-year-old Holstein steer who is need of a loving, lifelong home. Patrick was taken from a dairy farm when he was 2-days-old and dumped at a local high school as a prank. His current caregivers adopted him from the local humane society after hearing his story and raised him by hand. Patrick is very sweet and loves attention: he is often characterized as being like a large dog! He lived with two horses who have since passed away, leaving Patrick very lonely. His caregivers cannot afford to adopt a companion for Patrick, so they would like to find him a good home with other animals to keep him company. If you can offer Patrick a safe, loving home, please contact Kerry.

Williamsburg: A home is needed for five pampered Whiteface Hereford heifers who will have nowhere to go when their caregiver, age 86, can no longer care for them. Though there is no immediate need for placement, the caregiver hopes to prepare for the future, and avoid any crisis situations, by lining up an adoptive home as soon as possible. These 8-year-old cows must be kept together. Financial assistance for their long-term care may be available. The caregiver prefers a New England adopter so that a face-to-face meeting to discuss details can be arranged. If you are interested in adopting these cows, please contact Jackie.
