Placement Keene: Daisy Mae, Zachary and Hobson need a new home. The 8-year-old Nubian female and two 7-year-old neutered Pygmy males have been together for five years. Daisy Mae likes to go on walks and is quite affectionate – she’ll come right up and give you a kiss. Zachary and Hobson are a little shy but very sweet. None of the goats have horns and all are current on their vaccinations; the Pygmies are registered. Their caregivers love these goats dearly but have been forced to sell their farm and will very soon have nowhere to keep them. If you can help, please contact Lynne.

They need to be adopted together by someone who can give them a lot of love. If you are interested in adopting Piggy Sue or Rascal and Riley, please call Jill.

PlacementJackson: Two Boer goats need your help. These goats, a female and a wethered male, were rescued from a cruelty situation by the Jackson County Humane Society and taken in by a foster home, but their foster parent has had a stroke and can no longer care for them. Due to the occasional appearance of abscesses on the goats, they are believed to have CL, but they are otherwise healthy. The male is somewhat shy, but the female is very sweet and friendly. If you can provide a home to these special animals, where they can live either by themselves or with other animals who have CL, please contact Lisa ASAP.

Craftsbury Common: Don Quixote is a 3.5-month-old brown and black male La Mancha. He is the smallest member of a group of goats being raised for meat as part of a college course. Because he received a shot of antibiotic to treat a fever, Don Quixote is receiving a reprieve from the slaughterhouse, and Kelsey, a graduating college student, has been given the opportunity to find him a home. He was bottle-raised and is very sweet, curious and playful. He would make a great companion. Kelsey does not have the facilities to keep a goat, or she would adopt him herself. She has plans to neuter him ASAP. Please e-mail her if you are interested in adopting Don Quixote.
