Norbie

Norbie was one weak and frightened little duckling when his rescuers first found him in their home. After all, he had just moments before been picked up by a curious cat and endured a very bouncy, very uncomfortable trip to the cat's home. Thankfully, the cat's guardians turned out to be compassionate, friendly people who helped Norbie recover from the shock of his adventure and kept him in their home until he recovered completely.

Although the couple that saved Norbie fell in love with him right away and wanted to keep him, they knew he could have a better life somewhere else. Hoping to find him the best home possible, they called our New York Shelter. Moved by the plight of the little duckling, we welcomed him with open arms. Now Norbie is living with the many other lucky ducks and geese who call Farm Sanctuary home. He spends his days happily paddling in the cool water of our pond, taking naps in the sunshine, and quacking excitedly with his friends.
