Ronnie

Like so many other unfortunate rabbits, Ronnie and two of her friends were abandoned shortly after Easter. Purchased as holiday gifts and then neglected and eventually cast aside after the holiday has passed, many bunny "pets" end up being dumped outdoors and left to fend for themselves. Thankfully, a rabbit rescue organization came to the aid of Ronnie and her pals and contacted Farm Sanctuary. All three rabbits are now living happily at our California Shelter, making new friends and delighting in the affection of their caregivers.

Chickens Saved from School Slaughter Project

Not long ago, Andre was living in misery at a school in Canandaigua, New York, where he and 18 other chickens were being used as teaching tools in an ecology classroom unit for which students reared and slaughtered live birds. Read the story.
