Sure, money can’t buy love. But it can buy hand-drizzled vegan truffles perfumed with orange oil. This Valentine’s Day, so can you when you gift from the heart while benefiting Farm Sanctuary. From locally designed housewares to tiny-house getaways at our upstate New York sanctuary, here are six ways to treat yourself (or someone you love).

The best part?

You’ll be supporting Farm Sanctuary’s rescue, education, and advocacy work on behalf of farm animals.

For Your Friend Who Desperately Needs to Escape L.A.: A Tour at Our Southern California Sanctuary

Each Friday, Saturday, and Sunday year-round, we offer three tours daily at our 26-acre Acton, CA, sanctuary, which is home to approximately 100 rescued farm animals. Meet rescued mom Amari and her adorable twin lambs, Laura and Bailey, who — born in freedom — will never know cruelty; experience a one-of-a-kind exfoliating kiss from handsome Bruno steer, whose fall from a truck saved his life; and dole out the belly rubs for pig pals Morris, Slater, and Lisa Turtle.

You can purchase tickets day-of, when you arrive. Find directions and more information here; please note that we recommend checking the status of the tour you wish to attend before you begin traveling to the sanctuary. $10 ($5 for children 4-12; free for children 3 and under).

For the Person Who Has it All: An Animal Sponsorship

As a baby, Stanton lived in a barn so filthy that several calves drowned in the muck. Following his rescue, a cow named Jackie took him on as her own and nursed him back to health. This act of love saved Stanton’s life, and now, he shares his own beautiful heart (on his forehead) with everyone he meets. Stanton now lives in our main cattle herd with his new mom Jackie, her best friend Nancy, and Nancy’s son Charlie.

When you adopt an animal like Stanton, you directly fund their nutritious food, housing, and veterinary care. Most importantly, you support their full recovery and healing so they can socialize with each other and other herd animals. Your gift also supports all of Farm Sanctuary’s rescue, education, and advocacy work to make the world a kinder place for farm animals.

Adopt Stanton — or one of our other farm animal friends — here. $35 to $50 (one-time donation).

For That Person Who’s Always Wearing That One Sweatshirt: Super-Soft Eco-Jersey Hoodie

Splurge on this super soft, slinky hoodie that’s perfect for cool mornings waiting by the coffee maker, and soft enough to sleep in. The responsibly sourced cotton blend features organic and recycled materials, and the kangaroo pocket conveniently holds your phone or keys. A drawstring hood is included for maximum coziness.

Order here by February 7 at latest for Valentine’s Day delivery. Men’s sweatshirts available as well. $54.

For the Chance to Wake Up to Roosters … Outside the Door: A Bed & Breakfast Stay at Our Upstate New York Sanctuary

Nestled at the lip of Sugar Hill State Forest, our nearly 300-acre sanctuary in New York’s Finger Lakes region is a respite from the city. Come for the weekend and cozy up in a rustic wood cabin or luxurious tiny house. Enjoy an hourlong guided tour, where you’ll get to visit some of the 500+ rescued farm animals we share the sanctuary with (many of whom welcome head scratches!). Later in the evening, explore one of the area’s restaurants — we’ve recommended several plant-based dining options here — and then enjoy a nightcap on the deck when the stars come out.

Cabin prices start at $160 and tiny houses at $275 for one or two people; get full details and book here.

Wherever you are, and however you celebrate (if you choose to at all), we wish you a day filled with love, from Farm Sanctuary to you.
