Nick took the initiative to research extensively on the animal testing practices at his school, producing a 12 page booklet on the issue which was later published in the school newspaper. As a writer for the newspaper, he took advantage of this opportunity to reach out to his campus peers, and often wrote articles on animal issues. Outside of college, Nick has taken part in protests for many different animals causes as well. In the summer of 2002, Nick came to Farm Sanctuary to take part in our internship program. While here he helped to care for hundreds of farm animals rescued from the abuses of modern factory farming institutions, and saw first-hand how an animal sanctuary operates. The success of Farm Sanctuary's programs, shelters, and advocacy are not possible without dedicated activist and interns like Nick. Thank you,
Nick, for your dedication to reaching out to the general public and raising
awareness about the abuses of factory farming, and vegan alternatives.
We will always be grateful for all of your help caring for Farm Sanctuary's
rescue critters too! Together, we ARE making a difference.
