in her hometown of Phoenix, Arizona, Kari organized annual Walk for Farm
Animals events for the past 10 years. As a walkathon coordinator, Kari
has directly raised thousands of dollars for farm animal rescue and protection
efforts. In 2002, Kari served as the National Walkathon Coordinator, assisting
walkathon coordinators across the country to make the 2002 walk event
the best ever. Kari
was recently featured in The Phoenix New Times. As a result of this article,
132,000 more people were given the opportunity to learn about factory
