Gala for Farm Animals in NYC
At the Gala, hearts and minds are opened to the suffering of farm animals, new activists and vegetarians are born, and our efforts to end factory farming abuses are strengthened. On this special night, dedicated celebrity supporters, compassionate business leaders, legislators, activists, and Farm Sanctuary members join together to honor farm animals and those who fight tirelessly in their defense. This year's Gala will be held at New York City's Cipriani Wall Street and features a gourmet vegan dinner, a silent auction, and an exciting program of speakers and special performances. Memorial Day Open Houses at our CA and NY Shelters
The rescued animals at Farm Sanctuary love visitors as much as you will love touring our California and New York Shelters! Spend Memorial Day with hundreds of intelligent and charming animal ambassadors and learn what you can do to help farm animals in need. Free guided tours will be offered, every hour on the hour, from 11 a.m. until 3 p.m.

Twilight Tour at our CA Shelter
In need of some sweet dreams? Join animal lovers of all ages for the first of two intimate evening tours being offered at our California Shelter this summer. Commune with contented farm animals during one of their favorite times of the day and learn interesting facts about their nocturnal habits. After the tour, enjoy a gorgeous sanctuary sunset, complimentary vegan appetizers and beverages, a kid's pajama contest, and other fun family activities. Pajamas are strongly encouraged!

Pignics at our CA and NY Shelters
Come celebrate America's independence with the rescued pigs at Farm Sanctuary. Treat your family to a shelter tour, delicious food and an opportunity to rub a pig's belly. Zoop II - CANCELLED
It is with great regret that we must announce that Zoop II will not be occurring as scheduled this year. For personal reasons, the Mountain Goats have been forced to cancel this special event as well as several other performances this summer. We are sorry for the inconvenience, and look forward to seeing you soon at another event.

Country Hoe Down at our NY Shelter
Join like-minded animal advocates for an energizing and educational weekend conference at our New York Shelter. Offering up-to-date information on critical farm animal issues, groundbreaking campaigns, and effective advocacy strategies, the Hoe Down is an inspirational event for activists of all experience levels. Highlights include an exciting lineup of animal protection speakers, shelter time with the animals, delightful vegan food, and an evening barn dance.

Walk for Farm Animals
Join hundreds of farm animal advocates and concerned individuals as they take messages of compassion to the streets for our annual Walk for Farm Animals. Held in cities throughout the U.S. and Canada, this event not only educates the public about the realities of factory farming, but also raises critical funds for our rescue, education and advocacy programs. September 20-21, 2008
Critter Care Conference at our NY Shelter
Attend our popular shelter conference designed for people interested in starting, operating and developing farm animal sanctuaries. This intensive, two-day seminar features presentations on basic shelter administration, fundraising, media, and outreach programs. Participants also receive training on fundamental farm animal health care needs, proper restraint techniques, and animal housing and facilities design.

Celebrations FOR the Turkeys at our CA and NY Shelters
Help spread a compassionate holiday message this Thanksgiving by joining your Farm Sanctuary family in honoring our fabulous feathered friends at the Celebration FOR the Turkeys. California and New York festivities include shelter time with the animals, our famous "Feeding of the Turkeys Ceremonies," special guest presentations, and delicious vegan feasts.
