Farm Sanctuary's Halloween Bash
Farm Sanctuary supporters and spooky revelers left the horrors of factory farming behind and celebrated a compassionate Halloween on October 30 at the eerily-decorated Home Nightclub in New York City. Joan Jett enthusiastically encouraged the crowd to "Go vegetarian!" Johanna Fateman and JD Sampson of Le Tigre and MTV star, Princess Superstar kept the crowd dancing with dynamic DJ sets. A hilarious costume contest featured prizes from eco-clothing store, Kaight; tattoo artist, Alex McWatt, and Pure Food and Wine, and the unbelievable dessert selection and delectable bites were made with love by Red Bamboo, Candle 79, Vegan Treats, Sweet Treats Bakery, Ouiya, and Joshua Katcher. The goodies were devoured, organic cocktails flowed, and everyone went home with vegan candy and Joan Jett's new CD! Click here to view highlighted photos from the event.
