Establishment Outreach
Some of the
most powerful entities in any community are the businesses that keep local
economies afloat. As a consumer who patronizes many of these businesses,
you have the power to impact the decisions local owners and management
teams make decisions that directly affect the lives of farm animals.
You can also
use local businesses as educational resources and help benefit farm animals
with goods or services they might be willing to donate. Business establishments
are powerful and they care about consumer needs and demands. Show them
how much you care about farm animals, and urge them to do their part to
help those who are suffering.
Reaching
Out to Restaurants
- Ask veg-friendly
restaurants and compassionate businesses in your area to display literature
to raise awareness about farm animal issues. Please click
here to order literature from Farm Sanctuary.
- Encourage
restaurants in your area to offer more vegetarian options on their menu
by having them sign the Veg Pledge or by leaving a Veg for
Life comment card with the restaurant/owner or on the table when
you leave an establishment. Farm Sanctuary's Veg for Life Campaign
provides an array of resources at vegforlife.org.
- Join Farm
Sanctuary's No Foie Gras and No Veal campaigns.
- Urge restaurant owners and chefs to sign a pledge not to serve foie
gras and not to serve cruel veal. You can also leave comment cards on
these cruelty issues when you dine at restaurants serving these menu
items.
- Boycott those restaurants that continue to serve these cruel delicacies.
- For more information, or to order pledge forms, campaign brochures,
and restaurant comment cards, please visit nofoiegras.org
and noveal.org.
