Ask Restaurants to Offer Dairy-Free Options
This facet of Farm Sanctuary’s Dairy-Free Campaign is designed to increase public awareness of the cruelty inherent in dairy production and to vastly increase dairy-free options at hundreds of restaurants nationwide. Getting eating and drinking establishments to recognize the needs of their customers who do not consume cow’s milk is the first step toward increasing the availability of non-dairy alternatives. Urge restaurants, cafes and bars to pledge to add a dairy-free option or two to their menu: something as easy as offering soy milk or non-dairy butter! If the establishment is worried about where to find soy or rice milk or non-dairy spreads, let us know. We are happy to talk to them. The pledge simply reads:
“_______________ (establishment) recognizes the needs of my customers who choose to not consume cow’s milk for ethical, religious, or health reasons. I strive to be a friend to these customers by providing them with dairy-free alternatives. I hereby pledge to offer my customers delicious menu options that are free of dairy and other animal products.”
