Watkins Glen, New York
November 21, 2015
The Watkins Glen Celebration for the Turkeys begins at our picturesque New York Shelter, surrounded by the vibrant fall foliage of the surrounding Sugar Hill forest. Visitors can explore our visitor center and gift store while sipping a mug of hot apple cider. The sanctuary will be open for quality time with the rescued cows, pigs, chickens, sheep, and goats before and after the Feeding of the Turkeys ceremony, where the turkeys are the guests of honor and will feast on squash, cranberries and pumpkin pie. Guests at the New York event will have the chance to meet some of the lovely residents who call our turkey barn home, Elsa, Anna, and all of their feathered friends. The event culminates with a vegan holiday feast at the Watkins Glen Harbor Hotel, a stunning venue overlooking Seneca Lake.
Featured speakers include:
- Susie Coston, Farm Sanctuary’s national shelter director
- Colleen Patrick-Goudreau, bestselling author and speaker, JoyfulVegan.com
Please note that, due to an overwhelming response, we are only able to accommodate registered guests during the shelter portion of the event. We apologize for any inconvenience.
