Placement Assistance

Farm Sanctuary offers the following placement services for farm animals:

1. PLACEMENT E-MAIL ALERT: A weekly placement alert is sent to all members of our Farm Animal Adoption Network (FAAN). All members of our FAAN project have successfully completed an adoption application and process. Due to the large volume of placement requests, this is a ONE-TIME placement service option.

2. PLACEMENT BULLETIN BOARD: Bulletin placement listings are posted on our website for 60 days. If the animal(s) are not placed after 60 days, the placement listing will remain on the bulletin board if room is available. Please notify Farm Sanctuary at: shelter@farmsanctuary.org if the animal(s) are placed to make room for additional placements.

To help facilitate placement requests, we ask you to complete the PLACEMENT FORM and indicate if you would like to use the E-mail Alert, Bulletin Board, or both placement services. Please note, that since placement notices are on the internet and can be widely distributed, you should confirm that any individuals who contact you can provide a suitable and appropriate lifelong home for the animal(s).

Since Farm Sanctuary placement alerts and postings may be forwarded throughout the web, we strongly encourage you to confirm whether someone is a member of our Farm Animal Adoption Network before placing your animal(s) with anyone. You can find out whether someone is an approved Farm Sanctuary FAAN member by calling our placement coordinator in New York at 607-583-2276 ext. 266 during normal business hours or emailing: placement@farmsanctuary.org.
