Ducks and Gesse

California, Illinois, North Carolina, Pennsylvania

California

La Mesa: An adult goose is urgently in need of a safe home. The age of this goose is unknown and his current caregiver suspects the bird is male because he does not lay eggs. His caregiver rescued him from a bad situation about six months ago, but does not have a yard that is sufficiently set up for geese. This goose needs a loving home where he can live out his natural life with other geese in a large, protected yard, pond and shelter. If you can help, please contact Jenna.

North Carolina

Indian Trail: Carolina Waterfowl Rescue is seeking homes for some ducks and geese. These birds cannot be transported by the rescue group, so if you are interested in adopting from them, you would have to pick the birds up. Additionally, this rescue group does not transport birds to homes and they require references and photos from those interested in adopting from outside the North Carolina area. If you are interested in adopting and live close to this rescue, a home visit is required prior to adoption. The birds in need of homes are six Toulouse geese and 50 ducks. If you would like to adopt any of these birds, you can find more information at www.cwrescue.org.

Jefferson Heights: A 5-month-old female Mallard duck is in need of a home with someone who is licensed to take in migratory birds. She was found by her current caregivers when she was only a week old. Her caregivers love her dearly, but do not have an adequate set up for housing a duck. Currently she is in a crate during the day and let out to roam the kitchen when they are home. This little duck is very sweet, adorable and loves people. Her caregivers are looking for a safe home for her where she will have access to other ducks to bond with, a warm shelter and a fenced yard with a pool or pond. If you are interested in providing this duck with a loving home, please contact Ruth.
