We are back with Farm Sanctuary’s beloved holiday event: Celebration for the Turkeys! This annual gathering is well-loved for its festive vegan food, time spent with rescued farm animals, inspiring speakers, and experiences of community and connection.

We’re thrilled to announce the return of Farm Sanctuary’s beloved annual tradition: Celebration for the Turkeys! On November 1, join us for a day of gratitude, compassion, and community. This uplifting event brings together inspiring stories of transformation, meaningful time with rescued farm animals, hands-on enrichment activities for our animal residents, and—of course—a festive vegan holiday feast.

Together, we’ll honor the turkeys and other rescued animals who call Farm Sanctuary home, celebrate the powerful impact of our movement, and explore new ways to take action—including symbolically adopting a turkey this holiday season.

Whether you’re a longtime supporter or joining us for the first time, Celebration for the Turkeys is the perfect way to connect with animals, community, and a vision for a just, compassionate, and sustainable future. We can’t wait to celebrate with you!

The Celebration for the Turkeys ticket price includes:

  • Quality time with the animal residents during Open Sanctuary Time
  • >Watching our pig residents enjoy pumpkins grown on the farm
  • Creating one-of-a-kind enrichments for the turkeys
  • Celebrating together as our turkeys indulge in a delicious feast of pumpkin pie, squash, cranberries, and kale salad during our annual Feeding of the Turkeys Ceremony
  • A delicious, vegan holiday feast provided by the Kitchen at Farm Sanctuary
  • Speaker presentations by Farm Sanctuary’s Gene Baur (president & co-founder) and Mercy Mize (Sr. Manager of Education)!

To protect our flock from the dangers of bird flu, we will be watching the feast via video.

Please note that due to an overwhelming response, we can only accommodate registered guests during the event. We apologize for any inconvenience.

Don’t miss this special Saturday of gratitude, gathering, and good times. Register today!.

The health and safety of our community is top priority. If an event is canceled as a safety precaution due to extreme weather conditions or other unforeseen circumstances, no action is required to obtain a refund. We will issue a refund to the original method of payment used at time of purchase to all event registrants.

Registration fees are refundable up to two weeks before the event, minus a $45 processing fee. However, no refunds will be issued within two weeks of the event unless the event is canceled.

Please contact us at [email protected] to cancel or inquire about a cancellation. For guests who do not arrive on the day of the event, your ticket purchase will be applied as a donation.

Since this event is held outdoors (and our Visitor Barn is not heated), we encourage you to wear casual, layered clothing and comfortable shoes for walking the sanctuary grounds. Please check the weather before heading to the sanctuary and bundle up if necessary!

Please note that the tour path is not paved. The road through the shelter area is used by farm equipment and is largely composed of compacted dirt and gravel. The path can be slippery when wet and dusty when dry. Short segments of the tour path have a steep grade. While the tour path itself includes a hardened surface, the connections to the animal enclosures may include grassy areas and uneven terrain.

Please also note that there is limited shade and few areas to sit or rest while in animal areas.

Need additional accommodations? We want to ensure that all our guests have a meaningful and safe experience and are comfortable during a visit to our sanctuaries! Therefore, we encourage individuals with disabilities to contact us in advance of their visit to set up arrangements. For more information and to make accommodation requests, please email [email protected].

Diseases are easily transmitted on shoes and even tires. If you have visited another sanctuary, or location with cows, chickens, turkeys, ducks, or geese within 48-72 hours of your visit, or live with any of these species as companions, please email [email protected].

Companion animals are not allowed on guided tours or Sanctuary grounds at any time. Service animals are not permitted in certain areas of the sanctuary. Please email [email protected] in advance to make arrangements for your visit.

The safety of our guests, team, animal residents, and community is of utmost importance to us.

Please do not attend the event if you have a fever, cough, respiratory illness, or any other symptoms of illness. Thank you for your understanding and patience.

Farm Sanctuary, a source of education and inspiration for thousands of individuals each year, relies on the dedication of volunteers. We are currently seeking volunteers for our Celebration for the Turkeys. We would love to have your help!
