Farm Sanctuary’s beloved holiday event, the Celebration for the Turkeys, is back as we celebrate our 40th anniversary year! On November 7, let’s gather to mark a milestone during a festive day of food and fun, as we honor our rescued animal residents and spread compassion for turkeys everywhere.

Your Celebration for the Turkeys ticket includes:

  • A delicious, vegan holiday feast provided by the Kitchen at Farm Sanctuary
  • Seeing turkeys enjoy a delicious feast of pumpkin pie, squash, cranberries, and kale salad during our annual Feeding of the Turkeys Ceremony
  • Watching the pigs delight in pumpkins grown on the farm
  • Quality time with rescued animals during Open Sanctuary Time
  • Inspiring presentations by Farm Sanctuary’s Gene Baur (president & co-founder)
  • Appetizers and a cocktail hour featuring a book signing with Gene Baur
  • A children’s read-aloud
  • A photo opp with Farm Sanctuary’s historic VW van
  • And more…

Whether you’re a longtime supporter or joining us for the first time, Celebration for the Turkeys is the perfect way to connect with animals and community as we build a kinder world together.

Event Information

  • 10:30 to 11:30 AM – Event registration
  • 11:30 to 11:45 AM – Welcome remarks
  • 11:45 PM – Open Sanctuary Time begins
  • 1:00 PM – Enrichment activity 
  • 1:15 PM – Open Sanctuary Time ends
  • 1:15 to 1:30 PM – Pig Pumpkin Party, hay ride to the turkeys
  • 1:45 to 2:15 PM – Feast for the Turkeys, hay ride to the Visitor Barn
  • 2:30 PM to 3:30 PM – Appetizer & cocktail hour, President & Co-founder Gene Baur Book signing, kids’ read-aloud
  • 4:00 PM to Shop closes
  • 3:30 PM to 5:00 PM – Speaker presentations, vegan dinner provided by The Kitchen at Farm Sanctuary
  • 4:50 to 5:00 PM – Closing remarks
  • 5:00 PM – Event concludes

The health and safety of our community are top priorities. If an event is canceled as a safety precaution, due to extreme weather conditions, or other unforeseen circumstances, no action is required to obtain a refund. We will issue a refund to the original payment method used at the time of purchase to all event registrants.

Registration fees are refundable up to two weeks before the event, minus a $45 processing fee. Within two weeks of the event, no refunds will be issued unless the event is canceled.

Please contact us at [email protected] to cancel or inquire about a cancellation. For guests who do not arrive on the day of the event, your ticket purchase will be applied as a donation.

For the safety of the animals in our care and yours, we are unable to accommodate your companion animals at the sanctuary.

Service animals are not permitted in certain areas of the Sanctuary. Please contact us in advance to make arrangements for your visit.

Diseases are easily transmitted on shoes and even tires. If you have visited another sanctuary, farm, or location with cows, chickens, turkeys, ducks, or geese within 48-72 hours before your visit, or live with any of these species as companion birds, please email [email protected].

The safety of our guests, team, animal residents, and community is of utmost importance to us.

Please do not attend the event if you have a fever, cough, respiratory illness, or are experiencing any other symptoms of illness.

For the safety of all guests and animal residents, alcohol is not allowed in or around any of the barns or animal pastures at any time.

Out of respect for our rescued farm animal residents and our organization’s mission, please refrain from consuming animal products while visiting Farm Sanctuary. Please feel free to contact us with any questions.

Smoking is allowed, although we ask that you limit your smoking to the designated smoking area near the parking area.
