Farm Sanctuary’s Northern California Shelter

Overlooking breathtaking Black Butte Lake, our 300-acre sanctuary in Orland, California is home to more than 300 pigs, sheep, cattle, chickens, and other rescued farm animals that you can meet face-to-face when you take an hour-long tour with one of our knowledgeable tour guides.

Located 30 miles west of Chico and 100 miles north of Sacramento, our Orland visitor center includes educational displays, a cruelty-free gift shop, and an outdoor pavilion.
