Responsibilities & Duties:

  • Staffing visitor center
  • Maintaining visitor center facilities
  • Internet research projects
  • Phone call and correspondence projects
  • Los Angeles area outreach projects
  • Assisting with Los Angeles area off-site events
  • Assisting with Farm Sanctuary special events
  • Possibility of giving guided tours of the shelter

Qualifications:

  • Committed to veganism
  • Knowledgeable of farm animal issues
  • Knowledgeable about vegetarianism and veganism
  • Good communication and outreach skills
  • Strong writing ability
  • Hard working and dependable
  • Able to work well independently

Specifications:

  • Volunteer commitment of 40 hours per week
  • Two- to three-month commitment required
  • Weekend and holiday hours required
  • Shared housing available on sanctuary premises
