New York Summer Pignic

Celebrate Freedom at Farm Sanctuary!

Get ready for the ultimate celebration of freedom! This Fourth of July, Farm Sanctuary once again hosts a Summer Pignic in Watkins Glen, NY, where animal lovers of all ages can gather together for a festive plant-based picnic, and meet rescued farm animals who are today free from harm.

Highlights

  • Visiting time with our rescued farm animal residents – rub a grateful pig’s belly, snuggle with a sheep, commune with a cow, pet a happy turkey, and more!
  • A plant-based picnic lunch featuring veggie hot dogs, potato salad, and more delicious, animal-friendly versions of favorite summer foods.
  • Farm-animal-themed crafts and games for kids of all ages.

Please note: We are seeking volunteers for this event. Sign up to lend a hand!

Volunteer Opportunities

Farm Sanctuary, a source of education and inspiration for thousands of individuals each year, relies on the dedication of volunteers. We are currently seeking volunteers for the Pignic, and we would love to have your help!

Volunteers are needed to assist with all aspects of the event: setup, registration, food service, gate assistance, cleanup, and more.
