Wild and Free Storytime for Kids

Saturday, October 12, 2019 - Watkins Glen, NY

Join us for a Wild and Free Storytime event at Farm Sanctuary in Watkins Glen, NY. A catchy, repetitive rhyming picture book with beautiful illustrations by Sanctuary Publishers, Wild and Free helps introduce young children to concepts of animal use and teaches them to extend their care and empathy towards all. Written by an elementary school teacher, Andrea Zimmer, and illustrated/edited by Julia Feliz Brueck, children will become captivated by the bright imagery of animals they love while examining what it means for them to have a choice in how they interact with and impact others – both nonhuman and human. Storytime will be followed by a coloring activity featuring illustrations by Julia Feliz Brueck, sanctuary time with the animals, and plant-based snacks for kids. Ages 3-10.
