All guests staying in our accommodations receive a complimentary sanctuary tour. These tours are held daily at 10 a.m. Guests staying on public tour days are also welcome to join a tour later in the day. Public sanctuary tours are held every hour, on the hour, from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. In May, September, and October, public tours are held on weekends only. In June, July, and August, public tours are held Wednesday through Sunday.

Visitor Barn

Guests are welcome to browse our Visitor Barn to learn about farm animal issues and compassionate living. The sanctuary gift shop offers an excellent selection of books on vegan cooking and animal rights as well as cruelty-free gifts, apparel, and a delicious assortment of vegan snacks.

Breakfast is included with your stay! A selection of convenient, on-the-go vegan breakfast items is available in our Visitor Barn’s Bed & Breakfast room each morning from 8 a.m. to 10 a.m. Stop by to start your day with juice, coffee, tea, dairy-free yogurt, oatmeal, granola bars, pastries, fruit, and a selection of frozen breakfast items.

Companion Animals

Companion animals are welcome in Nikki’s Cabin 1, Angie’s Cabin 2, Maya’s Cabin 3, and in Amy’s House 6. Unfortunately, at this time, we cannot accommodate companion animals in Turpentine’s House 4 or Marjorie’s House 5. For the safety of your animal, as well as the safety of our sanctuary residents, we must request that your companion animal be on a leash at all times. Companion animals are not permitted near animal housing barns or pastures at any time. We also request that you do not leave your companion animal unattended for extended periods of time. There will be a $10 additional charge per stay for companion animals.

Vegan Policy

Out of respect for the rescued animals at Farm Sanctuary, we require all food on the premises to be vegan (no meat, dairy, eggs, or animal byproducts). If you need further information about a vegan diet, please let us know. We would be happy to assist you.

Volunteer opportunities are available Wednesdays through Sundays in May and June and seven days a week July through October. Please note that volunteer work is often physically demanding and does not include direct work with animals. Volunteer work is not glamorous, but is certainly essential to the daily operations of the sanctuary, and deeply appreciated by the animals and shelter staff! To sign up for a volunteer shift, please respond to the confirmation email you’ll receive after booking your stay.

We hope to see you at the sanctuary!
