Remembering Hildy

Hildy, who lived to the ripe, old age of nine at our New York Shelter, passed away in January 2012. A steadfast friend to flockmates Rhonda, Feather, and Kima, this sweet turkey opened many visitors’ hearts to the sensitivity and intelligence that turkeys possess. Last fall, we had an opportunity to film a short video with Hildy and Susie Coston, our national shelter director. It is a fitting tribute to Hildy’s memory and to farm animals everywhere, who are all deserving of our respect and compassion.
