The farmer gave the vulnerable lamb to a neighbor, who brought Ellis to a veterinarian. This kind act saved his life, but Ellis needed lamb friends, so his rescuer brought him to Farm Sanctuary—where he missed her so deeply that he cried out for her and wouldn’t eat until she visited to bottle-feed him. That all changed the day Ellis met Corrie, a fellow lonely sheep, and it was love at first sight.
Today, Ellis knows he’s found his safe place, where he’s surrounded by friends. He loves it when tours come through, and asks all the visitors for back scratches! There’s more than one way to Ellis’ heart, though: He’s the first sheep to follow us around when we have snacks, especially apples, bananas, and fig cookies.
