Honor a Life With a Lasting Tribute

At Farm Sanctuary, we believe every life is worthy of love, compassion, and remembrance.

Our Rainbow Bridge Memorial Program offers a meaningful way to honor the memory of a beloved companion, family member, or friend while supporting a kinder world for farm animals.

Nestled within our peaceful 275-acre sanctuary in Upstate New York, the Rainbow Bridge Memorial Garden is a serene space where nature, healing, and the gentle presence of rescued animals come together. It is a place of reflection, remembrance, and lasting tribute.

Whether you wish to honor someone through a memorial gift, create a personalized stone, or arrange for the scattering of ashes, your tribute helps sustain Farm Sanctuary’s lifesaving work and compassionate care.

Personalized Memorial Stones

Create a permanent tribute to your loved one with an engraved stone in our Rainbow Bridge Memorial Garden.

Memorial gifts of $1,000 or more include recognition through a custom-engraved stone. An acknowledgment card featuring the name of your loved one or honoree is also included with your stone order.

Memorial Ash Scatterings

Farm Sanctuary is honored to offer ash scattering within our Rainbow Bridge Memorial Garden as a final resting place for your loved one.

Surrounded by rolling hills, open skies, and the peaceful presence of rescued farm animals, this sacred space provides a beautiful setting for remembrance and reflection.

Guests who choose to scatter ashes will also be invited to enjoy a private tour of the sanctuary, offering a meaningful opportunity to experience the beauty of this special place and connect more deeply with Farm Sanctuary’s mission of compassion and care.

Please review our FAQ section below for additional details.

Learn More About Ash Scatterings

An appointment must be arranged at least four weeks in advance. Please email Alice at [email protected] to start the scheduling process and ensure that ashes are prepared as required. Ash scattering occurs only from May 1 to September 30, on Thursdays through Sundays, between 2 and 4 P.M. EST. Included in your 2-hour appointment is a private tour of the sanctuary.

The maximum time for the ash scattering and tour is 2 hours, but it can be much shorter if you prefer. Please dress appropriately, as the area where ashes are placed is not covered.

The cost is $2,500 and benefits all of Farm Sanctuary’s lifesaving rescue, education, and advocacy work. Donations can be made on our website, by phone at 607-583-2225, or by check to P.O. Box 150, Watkins Glen, NY 14891.

Once your appointment is confirmed, you will be required to make a donation. For questions about payment or ordering commemorative stones, please contact Lora Adomeit at [email protected].

The maximum number of people we can accommodate is 15.
