Protecting farm animals from cruelty is the “cause célèbre” at lavish invite only event

BEVERLY HILLS, Calif. – Farm Sanctuary, America’s leading farm animal rescue and protection organization, will be benefited at the annual In Honor of 2015 Golden Globe Awards Style Lounge hosted by Secret Room Events on Friday, January 9, 2015 in Beverly Hills at the SLS Hotel. Many nominees and talent are set to attend this lavish invite-only event that gifts nominees with exciting new products, exotic trips and getaways.

“We’re honored to be selected as the national benefit charity for the 2015 Golden Globe Awards Style Lounge,” says Farm Sanctuary President and Co-founder Gene Baur. “Farm animals are smart, emotional animals just like the dogs and cats we share our lives with, and they deserve to be treated with the same respect and compassion.”

Notably, several of this year’s award nominees follow a vegan lifestyle (no meat, milk, dairy, eggs, or other animal products) and have spoken out in support of farm animal protection, including Joaquin Phoenix, Jessica Chastain, Woody Harrelson, and Allison Janney, who narrated a short video for Farm Sanctuary about a shy hen named Symphony who gets a new lease on life after surviving a natural disaster.
