3. You’ll build a kind community and learn how to help farm animals when you get back home

Hoedown brings our movement together, and this year, you’ll learn new ways to create a kinder world for farm animals when you go home, too! At the event, we’ll launch our national Community Action Network (CAN), where you can join Farm Sanctuary staff and other advocates to effect meaningful change.

4. You’ll get to spend quality time with our farm animal residents

During open sanctuary time, you can experience memorable moments with rescued pigs, cows, and other animals who call Farm Sanctuary home. Each one of these inspiring individuals is an ambassador for farm animals everywhere.

Please note: To help protect our avian residents from bird flu, guests will not be able to spend time with the chickens and turkeys.

5. Music will keep the party going with dancing and fun

Celebrate the joy of sanctuary! As a Hoedown tradition, we’ll enjoy a dance party with compassionate friends on Saturday evening. You don’t need to know how to dance, just how to have a good time.

6. You can camp under the stars on our scenic sanctuary grounds

There are great places to stay nearby in beautiful Watkins Glen—but if you’d like to immerse yourself in nature and the sanctuary experience, you can sleep under the starry night sky in our camping area!
