7 Rescued Farm Animals Who Will Brighten Your Winter

With the holiday hubbub behind us and spring just around the corner, our rescued animal residents are savoring the last sweet days of winter at our New York sanctuary. Take a glimpse at how they’re spending the season as it winds down.

While their human caretakers keep stalls fresh and troughs full, the animals of Farm Sanctuary are soaking up winter’s comforts, enjoying peaceful moments, and finding warmth in the company of those they love.

Here are photos of seven residents relishing what’s left of winter as we wait for spring to finally arrive.

Ollie asks, “Can you see my breath?” No, but we can see your joyful smile!

When Jack Frost starts nipping, the bovine bliss moves indoors to the freshly mucked barn.
