Farm Sanctuary’s biggest “bachelor herd” has a new leading lady!

Boris has a big family. The former “Easter lamb”—once set to be slaughtered at just four months old—is alive today because of it.

Most people see their pets as part of the family. At Farm Sanctuary, this rings true for the 1,000+ rescued farm animals our staff care for at our sanctuaries, as well as the companion animals we care for at home.

Many of McDonald’s biggest competitors, including Burger King and Subway, have pledged to ban some of the cruelest practices inflicted on animals. But McDonald’s has refused to do the same.

Seymour is different from most bovines at Farm Sanctuary. Why? He is a water buffalo! Even so, he fits right in among his own little herd of domesticated cows: his best friend, a cow named Pepper, and her yearling calf, Truffles.
