Travel + Leisure’s Global Vision Awards spotlight changemakers who are creating more sustainable and responsible travel products, practices, and experiences.

Watkins Glen, NY (March 15, 2022) — Travel + Leisure has named Farm Sanctuary, the country’s founding farm animal sanctuary and advocacy organization which counts the likes of Joaquin Phoenix, Billie Eilish, Natalie Portman, and Kristen Bell among its supporters, a Global Vision Award 2022 winner. The Global Vision Awards 2022 celebrate exceptional work and innovation aimed at building a greener, brighter, and more equitable planet.

“Since Farm Sanctuary’s founding more than 35 years ago, science has confirmed that animal agriculture is a major contributor to our planet’s most significant ecological threats, including the climate crisis,” says Megan Watkins, CEO of Farm Sanctuary. “We invite guests to experience the antithesis of this inhumane and destructive system–a world where animals roam free, kindness heals, and Sanctuary replaces exploitation. We’re honored to be a Travel + Leisure Global Vision Award 2022 winner!”

To arrive at this year’s list of 33 honorees, nominations were sourced from an esteemed panel of industry leaders and experts across the travel, hospitality, retail and non-profit sectors, along with Travel + Leisure editors and correspondents. The final winner selections were made by T+L editors.

The Travel + Leisure Global Vision Awards 2022 are featured in the April issue of Travel + Leisure and at www.travelandleisure.com/globalvision.
